Gifts/Donations
                       

Teachers and other staff members are not permitted to accept gifts or articles of value from individual students, classes, parents, or school salesmen.

Parents and students may express their gratitude through small tokens, personal notes, bouquets of flowers, and greeting cards at holiday times.

At times, the school may have to decide on whether to accept an offer of a gift, bequest and/or a donation of either monies, materials, equipment or personnel.  The decision to accept or reject such offers shall be made by the Board.

The Director and the Board will use their good judgement about whether to accept such donations ensuring that it would be in the best interests of the school and its educational goals.  In addition, they will take into account additional expenses, origin of funds, time, resources and ultimate value-added to the school, when making their decisions.

Accepted donations will be gratefully acknowledged by the Director on behalf of the Board and school community.  Cases in which it is decided not to accept the donation, will receive a grateful acknowledgement with an explanation that the offer does not concur with the educational goals of the school.

Regalos/Obsequios

                       
Ningún maestro u otro miembro del personal está autorizado a aceptar obsequios o artículos de valor de los alumnos, padres de familia o proveedores del Colegio.
                       
Los padres de familia y los alumnos pueden expresar su gratitud a través de alguna nota personal, arreglos florales o tarjetas.

En algún momento, el Colegio tendrá que dicidir si acepta o no una oferta de regalo, legado y/o donación de dinero, materiales, equipo o personal.  La decisión de aceptar o rechazar tales ofrecimientos será tomada por la Junta Directiva.

El Director y la Junta Directiva usarán su buen criterio para aceptar dichas donaciones asegurando que éstas sean del mejor interés para el Colegio y sus metas educativas.  Asimismo, ellos tomarán en cuenta gastos adicionales, origen de los fondos, tiempo, recursos y por último el valor agregado para el Colegio, cuando tomen sus decisiones.

Las donaciones que se acepten serán gratamente agradecidas por el Director en nombre de la Junta Directiva y la comunidad educativa.  En los casos que se decida no aceptar la donación recibirán un agradecimiento con una explicación que el ofrecimiento no concuerda con las metas educativas del Colegio.
