Student Harassment
General Harassment (See Respect for Diversity Policy)
The insulting, intimidation, threatening, or victimization in any form of any one student by another student or group of students or other members of the School community, on or off campus, by any means, including, but not limited to, electronic mail or telephone messages, is not tolerated. School officials will take appropriate measures which may involve counseling, suspension, or expulsion in the case of extreme aggression or repeated offenses.
Student Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment includes both verbal and physical aspects and is a violation of the individual. Such harassment involves teasing, innuendos, name-calling, touching, or any behavior offensive to the person targeted. Students who feel harassed in such a way are encouraged to report immediately to a School official. Measures to be taken include notification of the parents and counseling for both the target and the offenders, as well as appropriate sanctions, including suspension and expulsion.
