Questions About CAG

How does the application process work?

The application process functions on a rolling basis at our school, meaning that we review applications at the point they are received. We do not have deadlines during the year.

When can I expect a decision?

There are two parts to the admission process where decisions are made.

Part I: the application is reviewed by a admissions committee to verify information and references on the application. The committee grant approval or not to move to Part II.

Part II: the application moves to the sections for review and to coordinate the evaluation.

How Much Is Tuition?

What portion of your day is in Spanish and English?

It varies from section to section. An aproximate breakdown is included below:

Early Childhood: 60% English and 40% Spanish

Elementary: 70% English and 30% Spanish

Middle School: 80% English and 20% Spanish

High School: 80% English and 20% Spanish (depending on grade level)

Do you offer scholarships?

Currently, scholarships are available for the 11th and 12th grade PBA program. Openings for applications for that program are announced each year in January on the website and through local institutions.

What special support is offered for students with special needs?

Our special support services varify with the strongest concentration being in the Early Childhood and Elementary sections with language, numeracy, and help with mild learning challenges.

For Middle School and High School, we have counselors on staff to support some learning needs.

Are there sports and extracurricular activities at your school?

There are a variety of sports and after school activities that students can be involved in. It varies from section to section so please feel free to email us at admissions@cag.edu.gt if you have any questions.

What Is the School Year Schedule?

Our school year runs from the beginning of August until the end of May.

Pre-Kindergarten: 7:30-12:00pm

Early Childhood K-1: 7:30-2:00pm

Elementary: 7:30-2:00pm

Middle School: 7:30-2:00pm (M,T,F) and 7:30-3:00pm (W,Th)

High School: 7:30-2:00pm (M,T,F) and 7:30-3:00pm (W,Th)

Review information of the school's Website, attend an Open Houses, and don't forget to a schedule campus tour. Observing the school day in action really helps you and your family get to understand the personality of a school.
