Grade 1 Admissions Procedures

• There is open application for Grade 1, although the number of students accepted is limited. The Application Form, Parent Questionnaire, and Pre-school/School Recommendation Form are the same for Kindergarten and for Grade 1. Children applying to Grade 1 must:

  • meet the age requirements
  • have attended Kindergarten
  • submit the Kindergarten and Grade 1 Application Form and Parent Questionnaire, and a Letter of Solvency
  • submit Pre-School/School Recommendation form
  • submit a copy of most recent Report Card or transcript showing cumulative grades obtained (required)
  • pay the non-refundable Admission/screening fee

  Students must then be interviewed and screened, on an individual basis.
  Once accepted, the Parents must submit:
  • the CAG Enrollment forms,
  • the original of birth certificate or passport copy(required), (local students must turn in original birth certificate),
  • one recent passport-sized photo (required), and
  • a Letter of Solvency (required for students in private schools).
  Children, who are not selected, may stay on our waiting list for possible future consideration. Parents must inform the Early Childhood section, in writing or email, if they wish to have their child’s name on the waitlist. The school reserves the right to accept students under special conditions.
