It is definitely a gift that keeps giving!

Congratulations to all the MS students who competed last week in advisory triathlons.  The teams energy and spirit remind us all why we are part of it and proud of it.

Upcoming Parent Workshops in Early Childhood and Elementary:

  • Early Childhood: Coffee, Croissants, and Conversation: Empowering Children to Keep Themselves Safe: Wednesday, November 4th 7:30-9:30 am hosted by Jennifer Ashton-Lilo.  During this workshop, we will focus on empowering people to speak up against any kind of abuse, bullying, or any other kind of behavior which makes you...feel funny, that you do not like, or that you think is not right. These messages are not just for young children, but for EVERYONE, 5 years old, 15 or 65. It also has become the foundation for our social skills program, in the Early Childhood Section.  We are working not only to empower our students, but also to help them verbalize their concerns, seek help if needed, as well as build appropriate social skills.  So come, enjoy some coffee and croissants and good conversation about empowering people.

(Q25 per person: Sponsored by Escuela Para Padres)

  • Elementary: Strategies to Support Children at Home through Reading & Technology: November 10th 8:30-10:30am in the MacVean Auditorium hosted by ES Student Support Services.

A Bigger and Better Turkey!

CAG’s Annual Turkey Bowl 2009 will be held Thursday, November 12th from 2:00-7:00pm. For our new parents, Turkey Bowl is CAG’s way of giving thanks for sports and our community during an afternoon of intramural games and family fun. Thanks to parent feedback, CAG will have a bigger and better Turkey Bowl in order to encourage all of our students and parents to participate. Any student that wants to participate can participate regardless if that student is on a school sports team or not. All students who want to play can by just filling out the form.  The schedule for this year includes intramural competition at all grade levels in a variety of sports such as basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
There will also be some fun activities such as hoop shooting and a family rally between games. Stay tuned to the homepage of the website for updates and information as well as your kids agendas or c-books.
