Timeline for your project

Task 1 - Internet Basics

Enter to the following previously evaluated sections of the WebWise site.

You don’t need to enter to each quiz from the Web Wise.

Warning! Once you have completed each section, use the BACK button of the Internet Explorer to continue with the next section.

Don't select the option “back to the menu” from the Web Wise window. If you do it anyway, the program will close you everything, but this window also.

When you finished the modules, enter to Quizstar to complete the evaluation.

Follow the next steps with the assistance of your technology advisor.

1. Enter to the site as a student

2. Sign up using your school username and password

3. Take the quizes “Internet Quiz #1 and #2” from “CAG Tech PD” class. Follow the program steps to do it.

4. Submit and review the quiz

5. Print the results.

6. You already got the experience as teacher to work with online quizzes. You can register later as an instructor to create and manage online quizzes whenever you want.

Task 2 - Using the Internet

Review and evaluate each search strategy filling the  fournets-worksheet (handwriting or on the computer).

Print it and save it.

To help you to plan a project step by step, save and open an Integrated Project Template,  which is a Graphic Organizer from "Kidspiration".

With your technology advisor assistance, fill every part of the process. Your template must include:

• Notes
• Links and Linking Lines
• Clear design in shapes and colors.

Save your changes.

For use Inspiration- Kidspiration in the future, you can use some recommended search engines available in the Resources page. Save them under Favorites for later use.

Task 4 -Integrating the Internet into a Classroom. Developing a project

The project must include:

• Introduction :

  Write an introduction to your project that will give students some background about your topic.  Try to interest them.

  Include the author name, date, subject, etc.

• Task:

  Write a description of what the students will have done at the end of the exercise. Remember; don't list the steps that students will go through to get to the end point. That belongs in the Process section.

• Process :

  Give students directions on the work, which should result in a final product.

  You can add a calendar to specify dates for each activity and the place where it will be done.

• Resources:

  Identify for the students which resources they may use to complete their task(s).

  Use the websites that you selected on your last assignment

•  Evaluation: 

  Provide links to online rubrics which will allow students to know upfront what grading criteria will be used.

• Images:

  The last thing you need to do is add a few graphics to your project to give it some interest.
