Our Values
At the American School of Guatemala, we implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), which is a well-researched, evidence-based framework for supporting student's behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. Our approach promotes positive, predictable, equitable, and safe learning environments where everyone thrives. Our focus is on being preventative and helping students understand the consequences of their actions versus punishment.
