Student Insurance

For this system we have sent the general list of CAG students to affiliated hospitals

STEP 1: The student must be taken within the first 24 hours of the accident to one of the affiliated hospitals and must enter due to the Emergency entrance. Contact Tecniseguros Emergency booth at 2300-6700 and inform the hospital where you are going.

STEP 2: The parent or guardian must inform the hospital that he or she is a CAG student, so that the hospital is aware and proceeds to request authorization for direct payment.

STEP 3: When the student enters the hospital emergency, it is recommended to send an email to seguros@cag.edu.gt so that CAG can follow up on the process.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

There is a co-payment of Q 175.00 for primary care at Hospital Herrera Llerandi, and also at El Pilar Sanatorium of Q 350.00 for the same description, amounts that the parent or guardian must pay and are 100% reimbursable when presenting an invoice with Parent's name and NIT at the CAG Reception. There is no co-payment requirement at Centro Médico.

In this system, the parent chooses the doctor, pharmacy, laboratory and hospital of his / her preference, pays the full value of the services provided to the student, and then submits the reimbursement claim at the School's reception desk or by email to seguros@cag.edu.gt, where we will assist you with the reimbursement process with the insurance company. In this method, the corresponding tax (IVA) will be discounted, as this tax that is not covered by the insurance, in addition to the 3% discount for tax stamps.

REQUIREMENTS TO CLAIM REIMBURSEMENT FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES RELATED TO AN ACCIDENT:

1. Reimbursement claim form, duly completed by the physician, signed and stamped, which you can request from the Insurance Department through the email: seguros@cag.edu.gt or by phone at 3002-1896.
2. Original related invoices (must be issued to parent's name)
3. Copy of the laboratory results, X-rays, medical prescription and clinical reports issued by the hospital.
4. Complete statement issued by the hospital (including medical fees).
